Back to school...

Mad Science, Snake Skins and Resilience...

This week, on Tuesday we had our first 'Mad Science' club. The children thoroughly enjoyed making molecules out of marshmallows (atoms) and tooth picks!
They were also delighted to create some green gloop which they were able to take home! We are looking forward to seeing what next week brings...

On Wednesday we had Mrs Elliott in from the Methodist Chapel in Hickling. She told us a bible story about our new value - Kindness. Thomas also brought in a ginormous snake skin which his Nanna G from the Lake District gave to him. She works in a wildlife park! Thomas told us some great facts about the snake; it was a Boa Constrictor and its name was Beauty. It also stretches down Thomas' hallway to his lounge at home!

A special mention to Beau this week who spent a good 25 minutes throwing basketballs into the basketball hoop on his own during sunshine time - with some cheerleading help from Miss Arnold! What resilience like Tigger; bouncing back when it doesn't go your way!

We also were in the EDP newspaper this week about our Alzheimer's Society walk to Hickling House - link below:

Finally, below are the photos from our celebration assembly this week...
